Wednesday Section
The Wednesday section winner this week was Phil Thorley with a score of 38 points. He credited his score to his new custom fitted irons and the Putting evening he attended the night before! With his new hold on the club, he now holds the putter across the palm of his hands.
Well done Phil and thanks for the Feedback!
We had a brilliant night on Tuesday for the Putting Fundamentals with our resident expert Lee Sullivan!
Lee Covered the four points that he belives are crucial to become a good putter:
1. The putter face angle and how it determines the starting direction
2. Putter face angle and stroke path relationship
3. The angle on which the putter strikes the ball
4. Speed determines line
Following the presentation we had time to do some practice. The night was concluded by a putting competition which was won by HGGC member Billy Sutton!
The gift that keeps on giving
We'd guess that most people prefer to receive something tangible for Christmas, certainly where golf is concerned. A voucher may be well received, but does it beat opening a box and getting a new driver?
However, there are some gifts that will just keep on giving. What if we told you next year you have the potential to enjoy your best ever season on the course? You can make that happen by booking a course of lessons for 2016; even better, ask that special someone to book them for you, what with it being Christmas and everything.
We're happy to take lesson requests from family and friends and working out a way of helping you improve next year, just get in touch below. Yes, it may be more exciting unwrapping a fancy new putter on Christmas Day, but a course of lessons may take your game to a whole new level next year.
