Make your driving range practice more effective this winter! 

Ensuring you're hitting the centre of the clubface is so important if you want to be more consistent with your golf shots. 

Quick tip

Buy a can of Athletes Foot 'spray powder', apply it to your clubface, wait a few seconds until it dries and goes white then hit some shots. 

You will get instant feedback and it will last for a few shots, then wipe it clean and re-apply.

The night golf company are hosing another event here at HGGC on Friday, 19 February from 5.30pm onwards.

Congratulations to HGGC Head Greenkeeper Mike Davie who celebrated his 25th aniversary at the club last Friday where the club hosted a presentation for him. Mike said a few words and reminisced about his years at the club. The club gave him a nice surprise, a weekend in Barcelona for him and his wife Grace!

Mike said: 

'I would like to express my thanks to the Council and the members of Hazel Grove Golf Club for their support regarding my 25 years of service. I was overwhelmed at the amount of support I recieved on the evening. I am extremely humbled at the generosity of the members and the golf club for the gifts I recieved. Grace and I are excited and looking forward to our trip to Barcelona as it is a city we both have wanted to visit. Once again I thank you all and look forward to working with you in the coming years.' 

   

Even though the weather has been awful the hard work never stops at HGGC.

Hazel Grove is running its fantastic 15 months of golf for the price of 12 offer for new members who join the Club in January across all adult categories. Please spread the word among your family and friends about this great offer.

We also have our membership referral scheme again this year, where the member who has introduced the most new golfers to the Club over the golfing year (1st Nov - 31st October) receives a prize. This was won by Jack Kendal last year, followed closely by Gerry John. Both received their prizes at the Club AGM.

Introduce a family member or friend, get them to name you on the application form and you will receive a prize draw voucher from the Membership Team. The one with the most vouchers wins the main prize, but to add a little more excitement, everyone that has introduced a new member goes into a draw and could win a prize as a thank you.
