Mr Captain and Myself did HGGC proud in the Manchester Alliance on Wednesday when our club hosted the weekly fixture. This week we also competed for the Leo Feeney trophy, this fixture has been played at HGGC for numerous years. We won the event with a better ball stableford score of 45 points! I'm really proud and honoured to have won this trophy and its even better do do it at your home club! The Captain as normal was on good form with some solid chipping and putting to boot! We played with the Alliance Captain Tony Smith and his partner from Stamford Golf club. We received some positive comments from fellow Pros on the course presentation which is now really starting to take shape!

Well, I didn't wimp out, and managed to launch myself off the Sir Alex Ferguson stand at Old Trafford! Photo's are below to prove my bravery. (Wait until you see the shirt and you will see what I mean about bravery!! Some say old trafford has never looked so good!) A huge thank-you to everyone for your support. I am overwhelmed and proud to know I have such generous friends. So far you have helped me raise over £2000 towards the Christie charity. So, once again, thank you very much.

From next Thursday, 1st May, I am organising a weekly 9 hole roll up. Tee times between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
The time sheet will not be blocked off for this, all you need to do is book a tee time online as normal then enter the competition in the shop if you wish to play. Golfers who aren't playing in the competition can still book their times as normal.
You can play in 2, 3 and 4 balls (depending on the format). Next week will be a;
Single stableford
Yellow tees
7/8 handicap allowance
holes 1-9 £2 each
These events are open to all membership types inc Juniors and a great way for new members to start competing.
