Professionals Christmas Draw

The Professionals Christmas draw is now up and running! As normal it's £1 per square or 6 squares for £5! 

First prize is a £300 custom fit driver of your choice.  




Get into Golf Pathway 

I have been running Get into Golf lessons throughout 2016 which has proved very successful with all categories. 

Beginners who then want to take the game further have gone onto follow the Hazel Grove development programme and become Academy members. I have managed to convert 15 members into joining the Club under this scheme. Most of these are at Academy level but one has gone on to become a full gold member. 

We welcome everyone coming through the Pathway into membership and hope that you enjoy your golf at HGGC.

GolfMark Scheme 

The GolfMark scheme application which started in spring is still progressing. We underestimated the amount of development and design work that we have had to do to meet the requirements but we have made significant progress. We should be complete in the next couple of months.

Blue Tees 

We are one of a very small number of clubs with a thriving Junior section. As part of our continued commitment to the juniors we now have blue tees on the course which help our junior learners to enjoy their golf. 

Our procedures around juniors have been updated due to the Golfmark application and the "firm but fair" management of the section helps to make us a safe and fun place to learn golf as a junior. 

We are very proud of the number of full members who played as juniors and have stayed in the club. The section is a key part of our future


Passport to Golf 

The Membership Team have produced a small booklet which outlines the membership categories available to new members and the benefits of joining HGGC. This is used as a promotional tool and is available in American Golf and used for our leaflet drops. Copies are available from the Pro Shop.


 

Cavendish MacKenzie Trail 

Our Captain, Andy Vause, announced that he would like to make more of our MacKenzie connection. This summer Cavendish GC marketed the MacKenzie Trail looking to promote all the clubs in our area with a MacKenzie connection. We have supported and contributed to this development which is on-going. Leaflets are available in the Club House and in the Pro Shop if anyone wants to rise to the challenge.


 

Social Media is a great way of getting awareness about our Club to a large group of people. Many of us belong to Facebook, Twitter and others types of social media. 

We want to increase the number of positive messages put out and therefore we need your help - please can everyone who has a social media account become a follower of HGGC (Facebook) and golf@HGGC (Twitter). 

Just hit the "like" or "follow" button. This will mean that our number of followers will increase and it will hopefully expand our social media hits.
